Opening Events and Ceremonies One week before the festival's opening concert, a whole-day event will take place at Linhart Square in Radovljica, including a market of traditional Slovenian crafts, the rising of the festival flag, and a varied series of cultural events. For the 15th year in a row, the city of Radovljica is participating in an international tourism and cultural project named The Road of Venus, the purpose of which is to revive the route travelled in the 13th century by Ulrich von Liechtenstein, disguised as Venus, the Goddess of Love. The knight spent some time at Kamen Castle near Begunje.
