The Amphion Wind Octet is one of the leading ensembles
specializing in music of the classical period on authentic wind instruments. It was founded in 1996 and today retains most of its original members. Their repertoire includes well-known works by Mozart and Beethoven as well as music by largely forgotten Bohemian and Viennese masters. Along with original works for wind octet they will perform excerpts from operas by Mozart and Cherubini in arrangements by Josef Triebensee (1772-1846).
