DÓRA PÉTERY clavichord
Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714–1788)
for the 300th anniversary of his birth
The second part of the concert will include a conversation with the composer
The flute and the clavichord were especially important to Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. In almost three decades spent at the Prussian court he composed many sonatas and concertos for Frederick the Great who was himself an excellent flautist. The clavichord was described as Bach's favourite instrument; he regularly used it for composing and recommended it for expressive solos and refined accompaniment. We will invite the composer to a short conversation.
