The 36th Radovljica Festival 2018 will take place between 4 and 21 August, and will be hosting almost fifty performers from ten countries presenting a variety of programmes from modern reconstructions of viking songs to Max Reger and Richard Strauss. Three concerts feature Slovenian musical heritage from the renaissance, baroque and classical periods. The festival also includes a workshop for singers and courses for recorder, organ and harpsichord.

A free festival bus from Ljubljana and Kranj is available to all concerts.

In his lifetime, Telemann was considered the leading German musician and his chamber music was held in especially high esteem. The theorist and composer Johann Mattheson wrote in 1740: “Lully is praised, Corelli has a name: Telemann alone is above all fame.”
