The 37th Radovljica Festival 2019 will open on 10 August with Vivaldi's concertos and will close on 25 August with music by Giovanni Gabrieli. It will also feature concerted motets by Isaac Posch, psalms for double choirs from manuscripts preserved in the National and University Library in Ljubljana, Bach's Goldberg Variations, music by Josquin, Schubert and much more. Performers include musicians of world renown such as the Russian cellist Alexander Rudin, the French harpsichordist Pierre Hantaï, the Swedish recorder player Dan Laurin and the Swiss organist Rudolf Lutz. Choirbooks formerly owned by the prince-bishop of Ljubljana Tomaž Hren contain liturgical music by Italian and Franco-Flemish composers. The collection includes a Mass for nine singers and five sackbuts by Lambert de Sayve, here in its first modern performance, and a Magnificat by Lasso preserved only in Ljubljana.
