Following last year’s first modern performances od late renaissance music from the choirbooks formerly owned by Prince-Bishop of Ljubljana Tomaž Hren, the festival now presents a mass by the Imperial Kapellmeister Jean Guyot de Châtelet (1512–1588) and other works from the earlier part of Hren’s collection. Since its founding twenty years ago, The Brabant Ensemble has specialised in lesser-known Franco-Flemish polyphony of the mid-sixteenth century.
